Erbst OrthoSport Physical Therapy was created to provide clients with high quality, one-on-one physical therapy intervention. As the name suggests, rehabilitating orthopedic and sports injuries is my focus. I enjoy treating runners, cyclists, swimmers, dancers and weekend warriors of all ability levels. Yoga, pilates and fitness class enthusiasts also get injured from time to time. While injuries can have acute mechanisms, there often exists an underlying biomechanics or postural deficit. In order to truly recover from an injury, the underlying cause must be identified and addressed. Abnormal postural alignment, faulty movement patterns, structural foot faults, muscle weaknesses and myofascial restrictions can all lead to injury. My approach accomplishes these things: 1) identification of the specific injured tissue. 2) Education of the client regarding the specific anatomical, physiological and biomechanical reasons the injury likely occurred. 3) Creation of an environment that facilitates healing of this tissue. This may include soft tissue and/or joint mobilization, myofascial release, trigger point dry needling, cupping, IASTM or other manual techniques. 4) Design and instruction of the client in a home exercise routine that specifically addresses the injured tissue as well as the underlying dysfunction.
EOS is an out-of-network physical therapy clinic. This means that I do not participate with any insurance companies. Treatment session costs qualify within Health Savings Accounts and toward insurance plan out-of-network deductibles. Associated documentation for filing is available upon request. Evaluations and follow-up treatment sessions are typically 40 minutes with a cost of $80 (no additional cost for dry needling). If a client requests an extended evaluation or subsequent visit (60 minutes) that might include video taping/analysis or extensive exercise instruction, the cost is $120. Abbreviated (20 minute sessions) are also available by client request for dry needling only. However, I don't recommend this since making time for soft tissue mobilization immediately following dry needling treatment significantly reduces muscle soreness.
